16 Week College OFF-SEASON Program
Program Overview:
The College Elite Off-Season Program is a 16-week comprehensive training system designed to develop elite-level strength, explosive power, top-end speed, and total athleticism in collegiate athletes. This program goes beyond traditional weight room work by integrating a multi-faceted approach to performance—combining high-intensity lifting, speed development, SAQ (Speed, Agility & Quickness) training, and recovery-based mobility.
Delivered through the TrainHeroic app, the program offers detailed guidance, training videos, performance tracking, and a seamless user experience that empowers athletes to take ownership of their off-season preparation.
Weekly Training Structure:
3 Strength Training Sessions per Week:
Advanced periodized lifting focused on compound strength, Olympic lift progressions, and power development. Each phase is structured to maximize adaptation through progressive overload and velocity-based training principles.1 Acceleration Day:
Short-distance sprints, resisted sprints, and force application drills aimed at enhancing explosiveness and start mechanics.1 Max Velocity Day:
Fly-in sprints, technical drills, and top-speed mechanics to improve posture, stride frequency, and running economy at high velocities.1 SAQ (Speed, Agility & Quickness) Day:
Game-speed drills emphasizing footwork, lateral quickness, reactivity, and multidirectional movement patterns.1 Extensive Mobility & Recovery Day:
Guided mobility, tissue prep, and active recovery protocols to promote movement efficiency, joint health, and CNS regeneration.
